The Culinary Arts Program iscompletely ladderized where students can upgrade from a 5-month study on the fundamentals of culinary arts leading up to the 2-year Diploma on Culinary Arts and Patisserie.
The Baking and Pastry Arts Program is a 10-month program covering 450 hours of classroom and kitchen work, plus 300 hours of industry practicum. Upon completion of all the requirements, the student is awarded a Certificate in Baking and Pastry Arts.
Every other Friday of the month, PSCA whips up some recipes or cooking tips for the readers of the caFe section of Cebu Daily News. Students and alumni are invited to send practical tips, interesting bits and pieces on cooking and other contributions to PSCA for this column.
Last 25 July, Buena Mano, GMA’s early morning TV show launched a new cooking segment. PSCA was given the honors to do the debut of What’s Cooking. Vaughn Donayre of Batch 9 was the featured student chef who demonstrated easy-to-prepare dishes. Although Buena Mano airs daily at 6:30 am, What’s Cooking is aired every Friday only. Watch out for Vaughn as he continues to impress the audience with his practical cooking tips.
Zee, a glossy lifestyle magazine featured Cebuano cuisine in its June 2008 issue. PSCA was invited to prepare some typical Cebuano dishes such as balbacua and ngoyong. Michael Abadia of Batch 9 shared his family recipe on balbacua while Cirilo Centino, PSCA lab assistant, revealed his secret on how to make a delicious ngoyong.

Lani Garcia (Batch 8, Certificate in Culinary Arts) who did further studies in baking and pastry arts at ISCHAM is the LMG Pastry CHEF, who makes delectable pastries and beautiful wedding cakes by order.
Students of PSCA participated in the FoodStreet sponsored by the Hotel Resorts and Restaurants Association of Cebu (HRRAC) held at the Cebu International Convention Center on August 9, 2009.
